Andi Eigenmann is Andrea Eigenmann in real life. She is the daughter of showbiz personalities Jacklyn Jose and Mark Gil, who are both respectable artists in their era. Not just her parents, but many of Andi's cousins are also involved in show business.

It is due to this fact that Andi didn't resist the call of showbiz and also joins the Eigenmann bandwagon in the showbiz mainstream. Andi made the buzz when she was announced by ABS-CBN to play the lead role in their upcoming primetime show "Agua Bendita".

The name "Andi Eigenmann" then filled the four corners of the entertainment world. Many critics welcome Andi with some positive remarks. She has been compared to Angel Locsin as she is a look alike of Angel. Even this author mistakenly identified her as Angel Locsin when he first saw Andi in TV.

But aside from the look-alike feature of Andi to Angel, she has already proven her acting skills in some previous TV assignents. Although she was an unknown actress at that time, her superb acting skills got the attention of ABS-CBN honchos and consequently decided to give a lead role in "Agua Bendita".

Andi had a short stint in "Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus" where she was featured as a "House Player". She was the second house player to enter the house but on day 53, she exited due to homesickness and the pressures inside the house. Andi did not complete the only task assigned to her by "Kuya".

In "Prinsesa ng Banyera", Andi played the role of Sandy where she played opposite actresses Kristine Hermosa and Ara Mina. This is also in this program where she acted opposite her mother Jacklyn Jose. There were scenes that the mother and daughter tandem were together in delivering their acting prowess.

Aside from her short stints in ABS-CBN, Andi also had some moments with GMA-7. She portrayed a major role as Louella in "SRO Cinemaserye" in the program's December 2009 episode "Exchange Gift". It was a comedy romance that was topbilled by Dennis Trillo and Nadine Samonte.

Back to ABS-CBN, Andi was supposed to appear in "Sa Sinungaling Mong Puso" with Robi Domingo and Nicole Uysuiseng. It is an afternoon soap opera and is one of ABS-CBN's special offerings for the 60th Year of Philippine Soap Opera. But as of this writing, the said drama series is still in the shelves of the Kapamilya Network and no official word yet when it will be shown in Philippine TV.

Andi Eigenmann is very excited in her biggest break so far, the "Agua Bendita". Until now, she couldn't believe she is the lucky one that was selected ABS-CBN. Added to that excitement is her anxiety how the public is going to accept her new soap as it is preceeded by the top rating "May Bukas Pa".

With the success of "Agua Bendita", Andi was signed by Regal Entertainment for various movies and some product endorsements.
